Actually 5 types but B is the most serious. Can be spread through body secretions. There is a vaccination. Can cause liver damage and even death. HPV- 20 million people in the US are already infected. Can cause genital warts. There is a vaccine that is highly effective. Bacterial Infections Chlamydia-most common. usually found with other STIs. Most people have no symptoms. Can cause inflamation, discharge. Can lead to arthritis or PID. Treated with an antibiotics. Gonorrhea-2nd most common produces symptoms in most people including discharge. Can be cured. Syphilis-4 stages. can mimic other diseases. Antibotics can be used but any damage done prior to that can not be reveresed. Fungal yeast infection-can be transimmitted through sexual intercourse or by an imbalance of acidity of the vagina.
